If death is in the hand of us, we will wait for 100 or 200 more years to die because you are not ready. When in fact, the Hereafter is lot more better than dunya. And that needs some preparation."

Yeah, if we want Jannah, of course we need some preparations and sacrifices. Something good, is never so easy to get. For example, if you want good marks for your exam, what would you do? Sitting in front of your laptop everyday? No. We will struggle hard. We will buy some exercise books, burn the midnight oil, pray for our success and tawakkal. And what do you get? Of course. Good marks. We use the same formulae to get Jannah too. Simple. Do what Allah loves and leave what Allah hates.
